RockREMOTE Mini OEM is the board-level version of RockREMOTE Mini, built for teams adding Iridium Certus 100 connectivity inside their own products.

 

It gives your system satellite IP over Ethernet, plus Iridium Messaging Transport for compact message-based data when opening an IP session is more than you need. Use it for autonomous systems, remote equipment, industrial telemetry, agricultural machinery, and other products that need a reliable satellite path without mounting a separate external terminal.

 

Mini OEM is supplied as a bare PCB assembly with an integrated mounting chassis, so your enclosure, antenna placement, host system, and power design stay under your control. Power, Ethernet, serial, and I/O are brought out through a 30-way header for integration into your own electronics.

 

It's designed for power sensitive deployments, with a 10–30V DC input range and sleep mode consumption below 36mW. Use it when you need Certus 100 IP connectivity in a smaller embedded form factor, and you are ready to handle the mechanical and electrical integration yourself.

Frequently Asked questions

No, RockREMOTE Mini / Mini OEM requires the connection of external antennas to establish communication links. You must attach an approved external Iridium Certus 100 antenna to the TNC female connector port, and a compliant active or passive GNSS antenna to the SMA female port.

No. While the terminal arrives with an unactivated Iridium satellite SIM card pre-installed inside the 2FF layout slot, all airtime configurations and data profiles are handled independently. A matching Iridium Certus 100 or IMT billing plan must be provisioned via your Cloudloop dashboard profile before the terminal can authenticate and pass field data over the network.

The board passes raw Ethernet signals straight to its multiway pin header. To complete a standard wired network hookup, you must include external magnetics and a standard physical RJ45 jack on your companion interface board.

Yes. Because the subassembly utilizes standard industrial serial interfaces (RS232/RS485) and standard network data protocols (TCP/IP), it easily connects to standard Linux platforms, Windows infrastructure, or microcontroller systems capable of handling serial or network lines.
