This collection currently focuses on Iridium Messaging Transport, or IMT. IMT devices support two way message-based payloads from 25 bytes to 100 KB, making them a good fit for batched sensor data, logs, configuration files, richer diagnostics, image snippets, and other payloads that are awkward to fit into low data SBD messages.

 

As a rule of thumb, larger message payload devices are usually a good fit for deployments sending around 10-55 KB per month. If you expect to send much more than that, or you need TCP/IP, Ethernet-connected equipment, remote access, or continuous data sessions, look at RockREMOTE and other Certus 100 hardware instead.
