Frequently Asked questions

The developer board lets you access and trial the functions available through the RockBLOCK Pro OEM 30-pin connector. It's intended for development, evaluation and prototyping only, and can also be used as a reference when designing your own interface hardware.

It's primarily intended to help customers trial RockBLOCK Pro OEM, and to provide a reference design. Customers integrating the Pro OEM into their own equipment remain responsible for their final mechanical, electrical and regulatory design.

Yes. The interface board must be fitted with the terminals along the upper edge, as shown in the RockBLOCK Pro OEM documentation. Fitting the board upside down on the 30-pin header will damage the OEM board.

No. The RockBLOCK Pro OEM uses a different 30-pin pinout from the RockREMOTE Mini OEM, so the two developer boards should not be treated as interchangeable.
